Originally, this was made with a higher vermouth content and served straight up. Today, less vermouth is used and the Manhattan is often served over ice.
Ingredients
| 2 measures | Canadian Whisky |
| 1 measure | Rosso Vermouth |
| 4 drops | Angostura bitters |
| 1 | Maraschino cherry |
Method
Shake the ingredients briefly with a glassful of cracked ice and pour unstrained. Add a cherry on a stick as garnish.
