This is one of the world's most famous cocktails, and has innumerable variations. This is the original version, created at the Trader Vic's "Polynesian-style" restaurant in Oakland, California in 1944.
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 measures | White rum |
| 1 1/2 measures | Dark rum |
| 3/4 measure | Orange curaƧao |
| 3/4 measure | Orgeat syrup |
| 1/2 measure | Lime juice |
Method
Shake all ingredients except the dark rum together in a mixer with ice. Strain into glass and float the dark rum onto the top. Garnish and serve.
